Our signature Tallow & Honey Soothing Moisturiser Balm delivers exceptional results through uncompromising quality. We've optimized every ingredient to ensure maximum nutrient density and effectiveness.

  • The Tallow is from 100% Grass-fed Suet Tallow. Suet is fat line around the kidney (the MOST nutrient-dense fat comapred to other body parts). Also, we noticed a lot of tallow balms are whipped to give a fluffy, smooth texture. We don't do this. That's because the process of whipping rapidly adds air to the tallow, making it look bigger so you're getting charged for air. The air also speeds up the oxidation process, making it go rancid faster and losing its effectiveness.
  • The Olive Oil is cold pressed, and only recently harvested batches are used. Its also unheated during the mixing process, as un necessary heating reduces the nutrition value.
  • The Honey is raw, and again, only recently harvested batches are used. Its also never heated above 35°C. Heating it above this temperature begins to destroy enzymes and antioxidants, rendering it useless for skincare.
  • The Beeswax is raw, organic and slowly filtered to remove all impurities without damaging beneficial compounds. Its also collected from local beehives.
  • Essential Oils - A lot of tallow balms we've noticed use an excessive amount of essential oils to mask the odour. This is done because often, cheaper low quality tallow is used. The excessive amount of essential oil is not only strongly off putting but it can also irritate the skin. At Esoteric Made, our tallow has minimal beef smell. So we can get away with using only a total 0.5% dilution of essential oil which is extremely low. This is just enough to not cause any irritation and still give a nice aroma.

Soothes inflammation & promotes skin repair

With all ingredients combined, the balm is rich in potent forms of vitamins, antioxidants, and anti inflammatory properties. Due to tallow's similarilty to our skin, all this is able to be absorbed straight into your skin to soothe and promote its repair.

Protects the skin barrier

The beeswax forms a breathable barrier over your skin, locking in moisture and all natural goodness from the balm, extending its effectiveness. The barrier also protects your skin from everyday irritants to help prevent further irritation.

HOW TO USE

1) Scoop a pea sized amount on your fingertip.

2) Rub between your palms to warm it up a little, making it more spreadable.

3) Now gently massge into your face. A little goes a long way

4) Use more if necessary.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?

Yes, the clean natural ingredients ensures it's non irritant even for the most sensitive skins.

What body parts can I use this on?

Face, hands, lips, ears, under eyes, feet, rest of the body, works fantastic everywhere!

Does it smell beefy?

We thoroughly filter our tallow to ensure there is no beefy smell. Then we add a blend of pure essential oils for a lovely aroma. Some people may have a more sensitive nose and detect a slight aroma. This however goes away after around 10 - 15 mins.

How much essential oil do you use?

We use a total of only 0.50% dilution. This is generally low enough even for individuals with essential oil sensitivity.

The balm has become hard/soft. Is this normal?

Yes. Becasue we only use natural ingredients without any stabilisers, the consistency can change according to temperature. Whether its hard or soft, its completely fine to use and won't change its effectiveness. 

If its hard, you can rub it between your palms to warm it up a bit to make it more spreadable. If its soft you can just use it as normal.
